Within the frame of the Doctoral School is organized the doctorate in music (PhD), provided in two directions: scientific (for musicologists) and professional (for performers and composers). Twenty doctorate-tutors are guiding doctorate thesis and research in different thematic areas, such as systematical musicology, aesthetics of music, history of music, ethnomusicology, stylistics, performance theory and practice, composition. Public sessions, conferences, seminars and focus-groups, as well as a series of own publications sustain the research environment of the Doctoral School.
